NCAA-March Madness Cake

So my latest cake was for a march madness "Bracket Queen!"  Dr. Smith is a friend, and an amazing doctor I work with in the ER.  He mentioned to me he wanted me to make his wife a march madness cake, as a fun inside joke.  They have a competition every year and she always beats him.  Good job Melissa, Way to represent us girls, and who says we know nothing about basketball?!!

I attempted to make a basketball without a ball cake pan. It was tasty and I guess you could say it looked like a basketball.

This was the bottom layer of the cake, after the picture I put a little raspberry jam and more mouse then the 2nd layer... Yummy!

So this was my first time making modeling chocolate so I decided to make some figurines.  I didn't end up putting them on the cake because they didn't match with the theme, but they sure were fun to make and tasted yummy! If you didn't notice, she has a "Jimmer" jersey on!
